Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking qualified and experienced Site Engineer in the fields of Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering to manage day-to-day operations at various project sites. The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising site work, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, and maintaining quality, safety, and compliance with project deadlines.
This is a hands-on, field-based role suitable for engineers who are proactive, technically sound, and capable of working under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities on site.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute site work in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Supervise contractor and subcontractor teams to ensure proper workflow and quality.

Monitor project progress, report site status to project managers, and address any delays or technical issues.

Ensure safety regulations and protocols are followed strictly on-site.

Coordinate with design teams, consultants, procurement, and site workers for smooth project execution.

Maintain daily site reports, materials tracking, and attendance of site personnel.

Identify site issues or conflicts and resolve them in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Ensure that materials and equipment are delivered and installed according to approved specifications.
Specific Responsibilities:
Civil
-
Execute and oversee construction activities such as excavation, concreting, brickwork, plastering, and structural works.

Interpret civil design drawings including RCC, steel structures, road layouts, drainage, and foundation plans.

Conduct quality checks on materials like cement, aggregates, and concrete mix.

Supervise earthworks, formwork, shuttering, reinforcement, and finishing activities.
Electrical:
-
Oversee installation of electrical panels, cabling, wiring, lighting, transformers, generators, and earthing systems.

Ensure all electrical systems are installed as per layout, schematic diagrams, and statutory norms (such as IS codes or NEC).

Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

Coordinate with utility companies for power connections and regulatory clearances.
Mechanical:

Supervise installation of mechanical equipment such as pumps, piping, HVAC systems, fire-fighting systems, tanks, and valves.

Monitor fabrication, welding, assembly, and alignment activities on-site.

Perform quality inspections and hydro/pneumatic testing as required.

Ensure all mechanical works comply with design specifications and safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.

Fresher applications may be considered for junior roles.

Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications.

Knowledge of local construction standards, safety norms, and government regulations.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.

Ability to manage multiple vendors and contractors simultaneously.
