Job Description
Educational Qualification: BE or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Experience: 0-2 years
Should oversee the day-to-day engineering work on a construction site, ensure projects are executed according to plans and specifications and adhere to safety regulations. Should act as a technical advisor, manage site operations and coordinate with various stakeholders, including subcontractors and the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Supervision:
-
Oversee day-to-day construction activities on the site.

Ensure that work is carried out as per design, specifications, and drawings.

Coordinate and supervise the activities of laborers, contractors, and subcontractors.

Monitor progress, quality, and safety on-site.
2. Project Coordination:
-
Liaise with architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants.
-
Communicate effectively with the project manager and other stakeholders to report site progress, challenges, and risks.

Attend project meetings, including client and consultant briefings, and coordinate accordingly.
3. Planning and Execution:
-
Prepare daily and weekly work schedules in coordination with the project timeline.

Allocate resources, materials, and manpower efficiently.

Ensure timely completion of activities such as foundation work, structural framework, electrical installations, plumbing, and finishing works.
4. Quality Control and Assurance:
-
Ensure construction work complies with building codes, technical standards, and specifications.

Conduct inspections and tests on materials and work procedures.
-
Maintain quality control documentation including test reports, approvals, and logs.
-
Identify defects or issues and rectify them promptly with the concerned team.
5. Health and Safety:
-
Enforce safety regulations and ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by workers.

Conduct toolbox talks and safety drills regularly.
-
Report any accidents, near-misses, or safety violations immediately to site management.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
-
Maintain daily site diaries including details of work progress, manpower, equipment usage, and site conditions.

Record material receipts, material usage, and inventory levels.
-
Submit progress reports, measurement sheets, and checklists to the senior engineer or project manager.
7. Material and Equipment Management:
-
Verify quantities and quality of construction materials delivered to the site.
-
Coordinate with procurement for timely delivery of required materials.
-
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and tools to avoid damage and wastage.
8. Technical Support:
-
Interpret construction drawings and provide technical guidance to the execution team.
-
Solve technical issues on-site related to alignment, levels, and structure compatibility.
-
Recommend modifications or improvements where necessary, subject to approval.
