In this Software Engineer role, you will be responsible for in managing projects from the Initiation phase of the SDLC through the Release phase of the Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, SDLC.

In this Software Engineer role, you will be responsible for in managing projects from the Initiation phase of the SDLC through the Release phase of the Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family of businesses, SDLC.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Master data management applications within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes
- Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
- Identify production and non-production application issues
- Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of developed projects
- Design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value
- Collaborate with the team on application architecture design and decision-making
- Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with different teams
- Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Ensure timely deliveries for all assigned tasks as per SLA
- Participate in SCRUM meetings, Design reviews, Test Case reviews, and Production Support readiness reviews for new releases
- B.Tech/MCA/Msc/MTech (Minimum 16 years of formal education, Correspondence courses are not relevant)
- 3-5 years of experience working on Facets, Facets Upgrade and Support
- 3-5 years of Facets development experience & understand Facets core processes: Facets Support - Extensions, custom jobs, Code Deployments including Non-Facets
- Experience in setting up various infra for facets Batch, THG, ICES, FXI servers
- Experience in containerized environments, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Mesosphere
- Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions
- Basic knowledge on DevOps and Cloud
- Basic knowledge on Azure/Kubernetes
- Knowledge of building, deploying, supporting Docker containers
- CMU Data Load and SFTM support
- Troubleshooting issues and providing support
- SQL query writing
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good understanding Healthcare domain in general especially X12 transactions like 837, 834, 837 etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare domain experience
- Experience with Dynatrace for performance, and Splunk for logging/alerting
- Basic knowledge of either .NET programming or Java programming
- Basic knowledge of Angular and ReactJS
- Oracle Database knowledge
