Applications are invited from sportspersons who have any of the following achievements in Basketball (Men & Women), Volleyball (Men & Women), Football (Men), Tennis (Men) and Badminton –Shuttle (Men) disciplines for appointment in Kerala State Electricity Board Limited under Sports Quota for the year 2017.
a. Those who have represented the Country in International competitions during the current year or immediately preceding two years, ie from 1st January 2015 to till date.
b. Those who have represented the State in Junior / Youth / Senior category in National championships during the current year or immediately preceding two years, ie from 1st January 2015 to till date.
c. Those who have represented the State in National Games during the current year or immediately preceding two years, ie from 1st January 2015 to till date.
d. Those who have represented University in the Inter Zone Championship conducted under the auspices of the Association of Indian Universities during the current year or immediately preceding two years, ie from 1st January 2015 to till date.
e. Those who have attended the coaching camp of the National team during the current year or the immediately preceding year in respective games ie from 1st January 2016 to till date.
Number of vacancies: The present selection is for 13 vacancies for the following
disciplines.
Basketball (Men) - 2 nos.
Basketball (Women) - 2 nos.
Volleyball (Men) - 2 nos.
Volleyball (Women) - 2 nos.
Football (Men) - 3 nos.
Tennis (Men) - 1 no.
Badminton-Shuttle (Men) - 1 no.
Age: Candidates should have completed eighteen years and should not have completed twenty four years of age as on the date of the notification.
Selection Procedure : The selection of candidates for appointment will be determined by the total marks obtained on the basis of achievements in the field of sports / games as given, field selection trials and interview.
Application Fee : Rs.500/- . Application fee should be remitted through demand draft in favour of the
Secretary (Administration), Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd. payable at Thiruvananthapuram. Application fee will not be refunded in any case

Kerala State Electricity Board commenced functioning on 31-3-1957 After Noon as per order no. EL1-6475/56/PW dated 7-3-1957 of the Kerala State Government. It had 5 members with Sri K P Sreedharan Nair as Chairman. All the staff belonging to the erstwhile Electricity Department was transferred to the Board. The 'Board' consisting of the Chairman and the Members is the Supreme Governing Body.
