Job Description

SRF Animal Genetics recruitment in Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) purely on temporary/contractual basis

Essential qualification: Master Degree (M.V.Sc/M.Sc.) in Animal Genetics and Breeding/ Livestock production and management/Animal reproduction/ Animal Science/Life Science or relevant subjects with 4 years / 5 years bachelor’s degree.

Candidates having post graduates degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years master’s degree in Life Sciences should have qualified Examination conducted by various Central Government Departments/Agencies like CSIR-UGC, ICMR, ICAR, DAE, DBT, GATE etc. are considered as National Eligibility Test (NET) as mentioned in the OM Agril Edn.6/27/2014-HRD dated October 09, 2015] or PhD (awarded) in relevant subject.

Desirable qualification: 1. Working Experience in the area of Pig breeding/production and Management. 2. Working knowledge of MS Office, report writing with good command in English.

Age limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of advertisement (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules).
