promulgated Gujarat Agricultural Universities Act,2004(Guj.Act No.5 of
2004). Accordingly four Agricultural Universities have been carved out
from erstwhile Gujarat Agricultural University with effect from 1st May
2004 SDAU. The Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University is
devoted for location specific agricultural research. As such the
mandate of the SDAU , Sardarkrushinagar is confined to six districts
viz., Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Patan, Sabarkantha, Banaskantha and Kutch of
North Gujarat predominantly encompassing arid and semi arid climate.
