SRF Life Sciences/Technician Job Opportunity National Institute of Nutrition on purely contractual basis
Project Title: "Dermal Penetration of Pesticide residues in Farm Women Workers: Assessment of Cost Effective Protective Gear as a Preventive Measure"
SRF Life Sciences/01 position
Essential Qualifications:
i. M.Sc. in Life Sciences/ Nutrition/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry from recognized University.
ii. The candidates should have qualified in the CSIR/UGC or ICMR/PGI National Entrance Test (NET) or equivalent.
iii. Two years of research experience in the laboratory work and field surveys.
Desirable: Pesticide residue analysis using LC-MS/MS/GC.
Nature of duties: Field surveys in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana and Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh followed by data/ sample collection, analytical work in the lab and data tabulation and analysis. f.
Age: 35 years. Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR guidelines
Consolidated: Emoluments Rs.28,000/- plus 30% HRA p.m. fixed without any other allowances.
Tenure: Initially for one year, extendable based on requirement.
Place of work: NIN, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Guntur districts.

Technician/01 position(OBC)
Essential Qualifications:
A. i. 12th pass in Science subjects.
ii. Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician/ PMW/ radiology/ radiography or related subjects.
Or
B. i 12th pass in Science subjects.
ii One year DMLT plus one year required experience in recognized organization or two years field/ laboratory experience or animal house keeping in Government recognized organization.
Desirable One year of experience in conducting field surveys and biological (blood and urine sample collection.
Nature of duties: Field surveys in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana and Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh followed by data/ sample collection, analytical work in the lab and data tabulation and analysis, Collection and Drawing of Human Biological Samples. f.
Age: 30 years. Age relaxation is admissible as per ICMR guidelines*
Consolidated salary: Rs.17,040-00 p.m. fixed without any allowances.
TenureL: Initially for one year, extendable based on requirement.
Place of work: ICMR-NIN, Hyderabad, However, field visits are to be made to Ranga Reddy and Guntur districts.

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a 'Deficiency Disease Enquiry' and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged 'Nutrition Research Laboratories' (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
