Job Description
SRF Microbiology recruitment in Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) (On contractual basis)
Project “Diagnostics for One health and user Driver Solutions for AMR(DOSA)”.
Qualification: Post Graduate degree in the field of Microbiology/ Aquatic Animal Health Management/ Fishery Microbiology/ Fish Pathology and Health Management/ Aquaculture and Fishery Microbiology or Graduate Degree in Professional Course or Post Graduate Degree.
Professional Course with any one of the following : National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST,
DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc. AND Two years of research experience.
Desirable: Prior experience in handling microbial cultures, antibiotic sensitivity tests, molecular typing of pathogens and antibiotic residue analysis by ELISA and LC MS/MS. Excellent computer documentation and analytical skills.
Fellowship: Rs.35,000/-per month + 16% HRA as admissible
Nature of Work: Place of posting will be at CIFT, Cochin. Work involves extensive field trips, liaison with stakeholders, and sample collection for screening of antimicrobial resistant (AMR) pathogens and antibiotic residue analysis from aquaculture farms in Andhra Pradesh and
Kerala, isolation, identification and PCR confirmation of AMR pathogens, database development and laboratory analysis.
Age limit: Maximum of 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on date of interview
Candidate should possess 1st class or 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA.
