Job Description
SSC - NCC/JAG/Tech Courses job vacancies in Indian Army
Applications are invited for the following courses:-
(a) Short Service Commision (ND NCC Special Entry Scheme 46th Course Oct 2019 for Men & Women (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel).
No. of Vacancies :
(a) NCC MEN :- 50 (45
for General Category and 05 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel
only).
(b) NCC Women :- 05 (04 for General Category and 01 for
Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel only).
Qualification : (i)
For NCC Certificate Holders. :- (aa)
Educational Qualification. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with
aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.
Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have
secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four
years degree course respectively. Such students will need to secure overall
aggregate of minimum 50% marks in degree course if selected in interview,
failing which their candidature will be CANCELLED. (aa) Educational
Qualification. Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate
of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. (ab) NCC 'C'
certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.
Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training:- Stipend to Gentlemen or
Lady Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service academies i e
during training period at IMA and OTA. :- Rs.56,100/- p.m.
Age Limit : For NCC candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties) 19 to 25 years as on 01 Jul 2019 (born not earlier than 02 Jul 1994 and not later than 01 Jul 2000, both dates inclusive).
Physical Standards : (a) Height & Weight. The minimum
acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5 cms with correlated weight and
for women candidate is 152 cm and 42 kg. In case of candidates belonging to the
North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the
height is relaxed by 5 ems and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case
of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height is reduced by 2
cms. (b) To pass fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health,
free from any disability.
Selection Procedure :
The selection procedure is as follows:-
(a) Shortlisting of Applications. Integrated HQ of MoD
(Army) reserves the right to fix cutoff percentage of marks for shortlisting of
applications. without assigning any reason. After shortlisting of applications,
the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email. After
allotment of Selection Centre, candidates will have to log in to the website
and select their SSB dates which are available on a first come first serve
basis, upto a specified date, as notified on webs ite
(b) Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at
Selection Centres, Allahabad(UP), Bhopal(MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and
Kapurthala (PB). Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective
Selection Centre on candidates' registered e-mail id and SMS only Allotment of
Selection Centre is at the discretioh of Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ
of MoD (Army) and NO request for changes will be entertained in this regard.
(c) Candidates will be put through two stage selection
procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage
I will be returned on the same day. Duration of SSB interviews is five days and
details of the same are available on official website of Directorate General of
Recruiting ie. This will be followed by a medical examination for the
candidates who get recommended after Stage II.

(b) Short Service
Commission (ND JAG Entry Scheme 23rd Course (Men & Women) Oct 2019 course
for Law Graduates.
No. of Vacancies : 14 (Men - 07, Women -07)
Qualification : Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree
(three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2
examination). The candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate
with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a College/University
recognized by Bar Council of India.
Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training:- Stipend to Gentlemen or
Lady Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service academies i e
during training period at IMA and OTA. :- Rs.56,100/- p.m.
Age Limit : 21 to 27 years as on 01 Jul 2019 (Born not earlier than 02 Jul 92 and not later than 01 Jul 98 both dates inclusive). Note - The date of birth accepted by the office is that entered in the Matriculation or an equivalent examination certificate. No other document relating to age will be accepted and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

Course
(c) 53rd Short Service Commission (Tech) Men and 24th Short Service Commission (Tech) Women Courses commencing in Oct 2019.

Qualification for
SSC(Tech)(Men and Women) : Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering
Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are
eligible to apply. Candidates studying in the final year of Engineering degree
course should be able to submit proof of passing by 01 Oct 2019 and produce the
Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of
training at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennal, Tamil Nadu. Such
candidates will be inducted'on Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost
of training at Officers Training Academy (OTA) as notified from time to time as
well as stipend and pay & allowances paid.
