Job Description
- Should supervise store staff
- Responsible for all store operations and inventory control
- Shall be responsible for maintaining all store records.
- Preparation of stocks statements.
- Day to day issues and receipts, ledgers, stock statement reports
- Preparation of Daily & Monthly Consumption Report.
- Checking of received Material with invoice and purchase order.
Required Skills:
- Should have computer Knowledge, should know how to use Tally and excel
- Well verse in English , Hindi and Bengali
- Managing skills and observation skills
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
-
Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
-
Ensure proper storage and tagging of all incoming and outgoing goods.
-
Regularly conduct physical stock verification and reconcile with system records.
-
Maintain optimal stock levels based on consumption patterns and lead times.
-
Implement FIFO (First In First Out) or LIFO (Last In First Out) as required.
2. Goods Receiving and Inspection:
-
Receive materials from suppliers or vendors and check them against purchase orders.
-
Inspect materials for quantity and quality, and report any discrepancies.
-
Ensure that all receipts are entered in inventory management software or registers promptly.

Coordinate with the quality team to clear materials for storage.
3. Issue and Dispatch:
-
Issue materials to production, maintenance, or other departments as per requisitions.
-
Pack and dispatch materials for outbound logistics as per client or project requirements.
-
Prepare delivery challans, invoices, gate passes, and other required documents.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping:
-
Maintain all inventory-related records including GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), SRNs (Stock Return Notes), and MRNs (Material Requisition Notes).

Update stock records in the ERP or inventory software.

Maintain a daily stock register, inward and outward register, and bin cards if applicable.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
5. Store Organization and Cleanliness:
-
Ensure that the store is well-organized, clean, and arranged logically for quick access.
-
Use proper racking, labeling, and identification of items.
-
Implement 5S methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain workplace efficiency.
6. Safety and Compliance:
-
Follow all safety protocols related to material handling and storage.
-
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
-
Handle hazardous materials as per safety guidelines, where applicable.

Maintain fire safety equipment and first-aid kits within the store.
7. Coordination and Communication:
-
Coordinate with procurement, production, finance, and other departments for material planning and usage.

Liaise with suppliers for delivery schedules, discrepancies, and returns.
-
Communicate clearly with team members and supervise store assistants or helpers.
