Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Student Counsellor to support students at our Hotel Management Institute. The Student Counsellor will be a key resource in helping students navigate academic, personal, and career-related challenges while fostering a positive campus experience. This role involves guiding students through career pathways in the hospitality industry, providing emotional support, and assisting with admissions and orientation processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, an understanding of the hospitality industry, and a passion for student development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Guidance and Support

Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to students addressing academic challenges, personal issues, stress management, and career planning.

Help students set realistic academic and professional goals aligned with hotel management careers.

Assist students in overcoming adjustment issues related to college life, hostel living, and interpersonal relationships.
2. Career Counselling and Placement Assistance

Guide students in choosing specializations and career paths within the hospitality and hotel management sector.

Organize workshops and seminars on resume building, interview skills, and industry expectations.

Collaborate with the placement cell to prepare students for internships and job opportunities.
3. Admissions and Orientation

Support the admissions team by counselling prospective students and their parents about the course structure, career prospects, and campus facilities.

Participate in orientation programs to help new students acclimate to the institute.

Address queries and concerns of new students and parents during the admission and onboarding process.
4. Coordination and Collaboration

Work closely with faculty, administration, and placement teams to identify students needing additional support.

Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and progress reports.

Refer students to external professional services when specialized support is required.
5. Student Welfare and Campus Activities

Promote student welfare initiatives focusing on mental health, motivation, and interpersonal skills.

Facilitate peer support groups, mentorship programs, and student engagement activities.

Monitor and report trends in student behaviour and well-being to institute leadership.
Required Skills and Competencies:
