Skills Academy is a Social Enterprise founded by Shri Pramod Basin ( Known as the 'Father of the Indian BPO Industry he is founder and former CEO of Genpact and has global experience across the US, UK, India and Asia in financial services, technology and BPO) and Smt Pia Singh (She is a Director of DLF Limited and Managing Director of DT Cinemas Limited and DLF Retail Developers Limited. She worked previously for GE Capital and is a graduate of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania) in November 2011.
The Key focus of the Organization is on improving the livelihood of underprivileged youth through  Vocational  Placement Skill Training under various trades. We make sure that the youth trained at our centers are not only skilled but are job ready. Skill Academy is leading NSDC Partner we have maintained high standards at different level of training. Over the last 7 years we have trained 40000 youths of which more than 24000 youths have successfully placed.
We are currently operational in 5 locations and 7 centres - through a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)  project being implemented with Tata STRIVE - an initiative of Tata Community Initiatives Trust, and the first Group CSR programme,  which addresses the pressing need of skilling India's youth for Employment, Entrepreneurship and Community Enterprise.  
This program aims to reach the communities, develop the skills of youth from financially challenged background and acclimatize them with the changing work environment. The core aim is to create courses that would help in creating and supplying manpower across the entire industrial spectrum as well as develop entrepreneurial talent. This initiative is completely free of cost with assured placement for the youth between the age group of 18-28 years. The caveat being youth should aspire for employment in the organised sector, while we equip them with life long skills and support them in transforming their lives.
