Job Description
Advising and Counseling, Communication, Excellent Communication Skills, Problem-Solving Skills, Knowledge of Educational Systems
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counseling:

Interact with prospective students via phone calls, emails, chat, and face-to-face meetings.

Understand the academic background, career goals, and preferences of the student.

Provide detailed information about courses, admission requirements, deadlines, and academic policies.
-
Guide students in choosing suitable programs based on their interests and qualifications.
-
Offer personalized counselling to students (and sometimes their parents) regarding career paths.
2. Admissions Process Management:
-
Assist students in completing admission applications accurately.
-
Guide students on required documents and verification processes.
-
Ensure timely submission of application materials and documents.
-
Coordinate with the admissions or registrar’s office to track application statuses.

Notify students about their admission results and help them through next steps like fee payment, visa application (for international admissions), and orientation.
3. Follow-Up and Conversion:

Maintain a database of leads and enquiries from various sources (walk-ins, website forms, education fairs, referrals, etc.).

Follow up with potential students regularly via calls, emails, and messages.

Convert inquiries into enrollments by building rapport, addressing objections, and providing the necessary support.

Maintain a strong conversion rate from inquiry to admission.
4. Information Dissemination:

Stay updated with the latest information about academic programs, admission criteria, scholarships, and policies.

Share accurate and up-to-date information with students and families.

Provide materials like brochures, program guides, and FAQs.
5. Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain records of enquiries, applications, follow-ups, and conversions.

Generate regular reports for the management team regarding student enrollments, trends, and challenges.

Use CRM or admission management software to update student data and track progress.
6. Marketing and Outreach:

Participate in outreach programs such as education fairs, school visits, webinars, and seminars.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop admission campaigns and promotions.

Contribute feedback from student interactions to improve promotional materials and campaigns.

Recommend strategies for improving student enrollment and brand visibility.
7. Team Coordination:

Coordinate with academic departments to understand program structures and updates.

Work with the finance team regarding fee-related queries and payment plans.

Collaborate with visa support teams (for international admissions) and accommodation teams where applicable.
