Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Accounting Operations
-
Record day-to-day transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments in Tally Prime.

Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy in postings.

Process journal entries, debit/credit notes, and adjustments.
-
Monitor petty cash and record transactions accordingly.
2. Accounts Receivable & Payable
-
Prepare and issue invoices for customers with correct tax components.
-
Track incoming payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
-
Process vendor bills, verify purchase orders, and schedule payments.
-
Reconcile creditor and debtor balances on a regular basis.
3. GST and Tax Compliance
-
Generate GST-compliant invoices using Tally Prime.
-
Calculate and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns as per schedule.

Maintain accurate input credit records and match with GSTR-2A.
-
Assist in TDS deduction, deposit, and quarterly TDS return filing.
4. Bank and Cash Reconciliation
-
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate balance reporting.
-
Update and verify cash book entries in Tally.
-
Match bank transactions with Tally entries and resolve discrepancies.
-
Ensure timely deposit of cash or cheque collections.
5. Inventory Management
-
Manage stock entries, inventory movement, and stock valuation in Tally.
-
Track inward/outward stock and update real-time data in the system.
-
Generate inventory reports for stock-in-hand, slow-moving stock, etc.
-
Link inventory with invoices and sales returns.
6. Financial Reporting and Documentation
-
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using Tally Prime.
-
Generate trial balance, P&L statement, and balance sheet from the software.

Share timely MIS reports with management for business decision-making.
-
Maintain digital and physical documentation of bills, vouchers, and ledgers.
7. Internal Coordination and Audit Support
-
Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
-
Provide supporting documents, ledger reports, and explanations as required.
-
Work with internal teams like procurement, HR, and sales for reconciliation and reporting.
-
Ensure accounting practices are aligned with the latest standards and compliance rules.
