Qualification : Must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or) Automobile Engineering (or) Automobile Technology of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants; (or) A Post Diploma in Automobile Engineering of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or of any recognized institution or Board with experience for a period of not less than two years in a supervisory capacity in the Automobile Workshop
Scale of Pay : Rs.9,300-34,800/- (PB2) + 5,100/- Grade Pay
Age : 18-35 yrs
Procedure of Selection : Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test in the form of an interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained by the candidates at the Written Examination and Oral Test taken together and subject to the rule of reservation of appointments.
Centre for Examination : Examination will be held at Chennai Centre (Code No. 0100) only
Mode of Payment of Examination Fee : Candidates have to register their basic particulars through One-Time Registration which is Examination fee Rs.100/- (Rupees Hundred only)mandatory on payment of Rs.50/- towards registration fee. About Company
The Madras Service Commission thus came into being under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929. Madras Presidency had the unique honour, of being the only province in India to establish the first Service Commission. The Madras Service Commission started with three Members, including the Chairman. After re-organisation of States in 1957, several Commissions were constituted. The Madras Service Commission became Madras Public Service Commission with headquarters at Madras in the year 1957. During 1970, when the name of the State was changed into Tamil Nadu, the Madras Public Service Commission automatically became the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
