Job Description
Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Department: Operations / Technical Services
Location: Pune / Site-based (as per project requirement)
Reporting To: Project Manager / Operations Head
Job Summary:
The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site and off-site technical
assistance related to the company’s coating and waterproofing solutions. This role involves
visiting project sites, conducting technical assessments, preparing BOQs, coordinating with
clients and the execution team, and ensuring smooth implementation of technical work as per
company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Visits and Technical Evaluation:
o Conduct in-house and on-site visits for technical evaluation and support.
o Take accurate site measurements and assess the site condition and surface requirements.
o Identify site challenges and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
o Understand client requirements and provide customized, practical, and technically sound
solutions.
2. BOQ Preparation and Documentation:
o Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on site measurements and approved solutions.
o Prepare and submit detailed technical reports, proposals, and estimates to clients.
o Ensure all documents (technical drawings, BOQ, site photos, and reports) are accurate and
submitted to the execution team before project commencement.
3. Coordination and Communication:
o Coordinate between clients, contractors, and the internal execution team for clear
understanding of project scope.
o Support the execution team with technical guidance during project execution.
o If any complications arise at site, visit promptly, diagnose the issue, and provide effective
resolutions.
o Maintain proper communication flow between departments to ensure smooth project
delivery.
4. Project Monitoring and Support:
o Conduct follow-up visits to ensure the quality and application are as per technical
specifications.
o Ensure that all technical parameters and company quality standards are maintained at every
stage of work.
o Record site progress and report daily/weekly updates to the concerned manager.
5. Billing and Closure:
o Prepare client bills after completion of work as per company rules and approved BOQ.
o Ensure timely submission and follow-up for bill clearance and documentation.
o Maintain all related billing records and supporting documents in proper format.
6. Technical Reporting and Record Maintenance:
o Maintain a complete database of all site visits, measurements, reports, and communication
with clients.
o Update site status reports, BOQ trackers, and billing sheets regularly.
o Assist in preparing material requirement lists and technical data sheets when required.
Skills & Competencies Required:
Strong technical understanding of waterproofing, coating, and construction-related work.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, site layouts, and BOQs.
Good communication and client-handling skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and measurement documentation.
Problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Attention to detail, accuracy in reporting, and accountability for assigned tasks.
Educational Qualification & Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in site technical support, coating systems, or waterproofing
solutions.
Experience in preparing BOQs, technical documentation, and client coordination will be
preferred.
Additional Information:
Must be willing to travel to various project technical sites visit as per company requirements.
Adherence to company procedures, documentation standards, and safety policies is
mandatory.
The candidate should be self-motivated, technically sound, and capable of representing the
company professionally in front of clients.
