Qualification :  Passed ITI in the relevant trade

Amount of Stipend : As stipulated in Apprenticeship Rules – 1992.  At present it is Rs.7200/- per month for all apprentices irrespective of the trade.

Age Limits :  Not less than 18 years and up to 22 years as on 15/10/2018. The upper age bar on 15/10/2018 is 25 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates and 27 years for SC and ST candidates.

Selection Procedure :  The applications will be sorted on the following basis:

a. Candidates shall have passed out ITI either this year or previous year. Candidates who passed out ITI before that are not eligible to apply.

b. Candidates are required to apply for only one of the designated trades mentioned in Table-1. Candidate should possess ITI certificate in the respective trade mentioned in the last column of Table-1.

c. RRCAT reserves the right to increase the number of apprenticeship vacancies up to 25% of the originally specified vacancies in aggregate subject to a limit of 10% of total number of employees.

d. The candidates must have cleared the 10th class board examination prior to taking admission in ITIs and secured a minimum of 50% in aggregate in 10th class board examination.

e. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of ‘one third of percentage of marks in ITI’ and ‘two third of percentage of marks in 10th class’. The sum will be rounded off to two places of decimal. In case of a tie, a candidate having higher percentage of marks in 10th Class board examination will be accorded a higher rank.

f. The first merit list will be displayed on RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal on 17/08/2018 at 1300 hours. The cut-offs will also be declared.

g. The candidates appearing on the first merit list shall confirm their participation in the document verification within 3 days of declaration of the merit list. A link for confirmation will be provided on RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal.

h.  A second and final merit list (including the candidates from 1st merit list who have confirmed their participation in document verification) will be published on the RRCAT Apprenticeship Portal on 27/08/2018 at 1300 hours based on the confirmations received and number of vacancies.

i. The candidates appearing on the second merit list shall appear for document verification personally at RRCAT at 1000 hours on 01/10/2018.
