Job Description
Product Analysis as per regulations - Microbiological analysis
Certifications related to microbiological analysis.
Performing analytical tests for processed products, such as checking the Moisture, Salt, Acidity percentage. For oil checking TPM, FFA, PV
Candidate Profile – BSc / MSc – Microbiology – Fresher
Location - Medchal, Hyderabad ( Only candidates who are currently residing at Hyderabad may apply as this position will be for Apprentice role under Government's NATS scheme)
1. Sample Collection & Preparation
-
Assist in collecting and preparing samples for microbiological testing from raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, water, air, or surfaces.

Ensure samples are labeled, stored, and processed as per lab protocols.
2. Microbial Testing & Analysis
-
Conduct or support basic microbiological tests such as:
-
Total Plate Count (TPC)
-
Yeast and Mold count
-
Pathogen detection (E. coli, Salmonella, etc.)
-
Antibiotic sensitivity testing
-

Support environmental monitoring, sterility testing, and water quality testing (if applicable).
3. Laboratory Procedures
-
Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for media preparation, autoclaving, incubation, and disposal.

Perform basic staining (Gram staining), microscopy, and culture techniques under supervision.

Learn to operate lab equipment like incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets, colony counters, and pH meters.
4. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain lab notebooks and accurately record data from experiments and observations.

Support preparation of lab reports, data entry, and logs in compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice).

Assist in updating test records, inventory of chemicals, and calibration logs.
5. Aseptic Practices & Safety
-
Follow aseptic techniques and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.

Adhere to lab safety protocols for handling biological samples and hazardous materials.

Participate in regular cleaning, sterilization, and upkeep of the microbiology lab.
6. Learning & Development
-
Attend training sessions and shadow experienced microbiologists to understand industry-specific microbiological workflows.

Stay updated on microbiology basics, testing techniques, and quality standards (ISO, NABL, GMP depending on industry).

Support validation or research studies as assigned by the department.
