Purpose of the Role:
This role is to manage the transport operations for one/multiple markets in APAC region providing a service of executing daily operations efficiently, partnering with warehousing teams and transport providers, leveraging transport management system and adding value to each market in the region. The outcomes of this role are measured in: Cost Efficiency, Service and Collaborative and value creating relationships internally and externally
This role will work with a complex range of in market stakeholders (SCD, GDBS, Warehouse managers, Customer Collaboration Managers, supply finance) as well as the central Operational Excellence and CoE team. Externally he/she will be required to work with 3PLs, Carriers and Transport Technology Providers to deliver cost and service for Diageo
He/she will need to interact across cultures & have strong influence/impact within supply team and with external suppliers. He/she will need to have deep understanding of various transport markets within APAC and also work on continuously improving cost-to-serve in transport operations
