Job Description
1. Security Infrastructure Management
Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and endpoint protection tools.
Manage secure network architecture.
Monitor access controls and identity systems.
2. Threat Detection & Monitoring
Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools.
Investigate suspicious activities and potential breaches.
Analyze logs from servers, endpoints, and cloud environments.
3. Vulnerability Management
Perform vulnerability scans.
Assess risks and prioritize remediation.
Coordinate patch management with IT teams.
4. Incident Response
Respond to malware infections, phishing attacks, ransomware, insider threats, etc.
Contain, eradicate, and recover from incidents.
Conduct root cause analysis and write incident reports.
5. Security Automation
Build scripts and tools to automate repetitive security tasks.
Improve detection and response workflows using Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
6. Cloud Security
Secure AWS / Azure / GCP environments.
Implement IAM policies, encryption, logging, and compliance controls.
Review cloud misconfigurations.
7. Application Security Support
Work with developers to secure applications.
Perform code reviews, SAST/DAST testing.
Help integrate DevSecOps pipelines.
