Project Title : “SMART Foundry 2020 ( SMART = Sustainable Metal casting using Advanced Research and Technology)”
Research Associate
Qualifications : PhD or equivalent degree OR Having 3 years of research, teaching and design & development experience after M.Tech./M.E. degree in Mechanical engineering or Materials Engineering or equivalent streams. with at least one research paper in science citation Indexed ( SCI) journal
Desirable : 1. GATE Qualified 2. Candidates with experimental background and hands on experience in foundry practices and computer simulations software are encouraged to apply.
Stipend : Rs. 36000/- p.m. + HRA as admissible
Junior Research Fellow
Qualifications : M.Tech./M.E. degree in Mechanical, Materials Engineering or equivalent streams.
Desirable : 1. GATE Qualified 2. Candidates with experimental background and hands on experience in foundry practices and computer simulations software are encouraged to apply.
Stipend : Rs 25,000 p.m. (consolidated)

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology in the country. The Govt. of India conferred on the Institute, the Deemed to be University status (under University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956)) with effect from 26th June 2002. Subsequently, the Central Govt. by Act of Parliament (National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007 (29 of 2007)) declared VNIT Nagpur as an Institute of National Importance along with all other NITs. The Act was brought into force from 15th August 2007.
