Job Responsibilities

Operate and set up Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) machines.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders.
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
Perform precision machining of components to required tolerances.
Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety procedures.
Report machine issues and perform minor maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a VTL/Machinist Operator.
Strong knowledge of machining processes and tooling.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring tools.
Basic understanding of CNC VTL (optional but preferred).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
