Urgent Hiring: Waiter - Restaurant/Hotel - Alappuzha
Looking for a local male candidate for a Waiter role at a reputed hotel/restaurant in Alappuzha.
Job Details:
- Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹17,000
- Benefits: PF, ESIC, Food & Accommodation
- Location: Alappuzha (Local candidates only)
- Joining: Immediate
Duties:
- Taking orders
- Serving food
- Guest service, table setup
- Maintaining cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:

Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables.

Present menus, provide recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.

Take accurate orders from guests, repeat for confirmation, and input them into the POS system.

Serve food and drinks in a timely and courteous manner.

Monitor guests’ needs throughout the meal and respond promptly to requests.
Order Management:

Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of orders.

Ensure that food is delivered in the correct order, temperature, and presentation.

Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly (if applicable).
Cleanliness and Setup:

Prepare dining tables by setting up linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments.

Clear dishes, clean tables, and reset them quickly for the next guests.

Keep the dining area, side stations, and service areas clean and organized.
Billing and Payments:
-
Present bills to guests and handle payment transactions through cash, credit cards, or other methods.

Return change or receipts and thank customers for their visit.

Maintain billing accuracy and follow up on any discrepancies.
Team Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and other service team members.

Support colleagues during peak hours, events, or high-volume service periods.

Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Customer Satisfaction:

Handle guest complaints or concerns calmly and escalate to the supervisor or manager if needed.
