Wireman / Field Network Technician Job in Atria Convergence Technologies Limited at Bangalore

Job Overview

The Wireman is responsible for outdoor physical cabling, field infrastructure maintenance, and fiber optic connectivity. This role involves laying fiber cables across electricity poles and buildings to deliver broadband connections to customers and maintaining network distribution hardware (CX racks/boxes).

Key Responsibilities

• Fiber Cabling & Pole Work: Pull, lay, and secure optical fiber cables across utility poles, street structures, and residential/commercial buildings.

• Material & Tool Handling: Safely transport and operate field tools, ladders, fiber spools, and crimping equipment.

• CX Rack & Box Maintenance: Install, fix, and drill Customer Access (CX) racks and replacement units. Connect and replace power connections from customer points to CX racks.

• Cable Recovery: Identify and recover dead, unused, or damaged fiber cables from poles and conduits.

• Earthing & Battery Setup: Replace CX battery backups and ensure proper earthing connectivity for live cabling.

• Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to 100% field safety norms, ladder usage rules, and electrical safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: 10th, 12th, ITI (Electrical/Wireman), or Diploma.

• Vehicle & License: Two-wheeler (Bike/Scooter) with a valid driving license.

• Language: Regional language fluency (e.g., Kannada for Bangalore, Telugu for AP/TS).

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform field labor, climb utility poles, and carry ladders/equipment.
