Job Overview
We are looking for a Workshop Controller to oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and optimal resource utilization. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to manage a team of technicians and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop Management

Supervise daily workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow.

Allocate jobs to technicians and mechanics based on skillset and priority.

Monitor repair and maintenance progress to ensure timely completion.

Ensure quality control checks are performed before vehicle/equipment delivery.
Coordination & Customer Service
-
Communicate with customers, service advisors, and technicians to understand work requirements.

Provide accurate cost estimates and explain repair processes to clients.

Handle customer complaints and ensure high levels of service satisfaction.
Technical & Compliance
-
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and workshop SOPs.

Maintain and update vehicle/equipment service records.

Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues as needed.
Team Leadership & Training

Supervise and motivate a team of mechanics, technicians, and apprentices.

Identify skill gaps and arrange training programs for staff.

Monitor workshop productivity and suggest improvements.
Inventory & Cost Control

Manage spare parts inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Track workshop expenses and suggest cost-saving measures.

Liaise with suppliers and vendors for spare parts procurement.
