Young Professional-I job position in Central Institute for Research on Goats (CIRG)

Title : Outreach Project on Zoonotics Diseases (OPZD)

Qualification : Graduate degree in Agriculural sciences/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology or Graduate degree in Biotechnology.

Desirable:  Research experience of working with mycobacterium species. One research publication in SCI journal and knowledge of computer (MS-Office) related work etc.  Should have handled research projects independently . Collection of samples from human subjects, in collaboration with physician and doctors.  Should have good knowledge of immunological and molecular biology techniques, biological and related equipments (ELISA reader, PCR, RT-PCR, etc.)  Willingness to work outside office hours to complete the project work and stay at CIRO, campus  Follow the instructions of PI and Co-PI and able to make scientific presentation.

Emoluments : Rs.15000

The Central Institute for Research on Goats (CIRG) was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India at Makhdoom village near Farah town in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh on July12, 1979 for undertaking research on all aspects of goat production and utilization. The Coordinating Unit of the All India Coordinated Research Project on Goat Improvement was also transferred to CIRG from the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar. The Institute has acquired and developed modern laboratory facilities over the years to conduct research on Goat Genetics and Breeding, Feed Resource Development & Utilization, Nutrition, Physiology, Reproduction, Management, Diagnosis & Prevention of Diseases, Transfer of Improved Technologies and Milk and Meat Products Technology.
