About Mira Studio:
Mira Studio Luxury Diamonds and Jewels is a Toronto-based luxury brand specializing in high-quality jewelry and diamonds. We are looking to build a robust bridge between the manufacturing hub of Surat and our clientele in Canada. We are seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and tech-savvy individual to act as our 'eyes and ears' on the ground in Surat.
The Role:
You will work directly with the Founder to build the business infrastructure from the ground up. This is not a typical administrative role; it requires a mix of diamond industry knowledge, technical web skills, and logistics management. You will handle everything from sourcing stones to managing the website and overseeing shipments to Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Industry Relations:
Leverage existing personal connections with Lab Grown Diamond manufacturers and cutters in Surat to secure the best pricing and highest quality materials.
Negotiate terms and maintain strong relationships with local vendors.
Logistics & Operations:
Manage the quality control, secure packaging, and international shipping of goods from India to Toronto.
Handle basic accounting, bookkeeping, and expense tracking using Google Sheets.
Tech & Digital Setup:
Assist in the development and maintenance of the company e-commerce website.
Utilize AI tools to optimize workflows, draft communications, and assist with content creation.
Executive Assistance:
Act as the primary point of contact in India for the Canadian head office.
Assist with daily administrative tasks to ensure the smooth launch of the brand.
Required Qualifications (Must Haves):
Diamond Industry Network: Proven existing ties or family connections to the diamond industry in Surat (specifically Lab Grown manufacturers). You must know where to go to get the best product.
Tech Savvy: Experience with Web Development (Shopify, WordPress, or coding) and familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.).
Organizational Skills: Obsessive attention to detail. You must be highly proficient in Google Sheets (formulas, tracking, inventory management).
Language: Excellent written and spoken English is non-negotiable.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings/nights (IST) to overlap with Toronto, Canada business hours (EST).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves):
Background in Sales or International Logistics (Export/Import procedures).
Experience launching a new business or working with international startups.
