Your Role and Responsibilities
At IBM Multi-Cloud Management Platform, we have a simple goal: to enable enterprises to manage in a world that spans legacy solutions on-premise to the latest NoOps based development approaches. Our platform enables our customers to acquire, operate and manage their application lifecycle across multiple clouds and container platforms. Our engineering team works with numerous cloud and container technologies including Helm, CloudForms, CloudFormation, Deployment Manager, Resource Manager, Prometheus, ServiceNow, VRA, Terraform and others. Our squads are constantly focused on innovating and seeking out better tools, technologies and techniques to deliver our solutions faster with higher scale and reliability. We are a pure microservices based team and our current technologies set is based on Ruby on rails, Angular, RxJS and MongoDB.
As part of this team, you are responsible for Automation and Orchestration of operating systems, optimization and troubleshooting of the existing Private Cloud environment. Development, debugging and improvement of new or existing vRO workflows and vRA forms

Your Role and Responsibilities

As part of this team, you are responsible for Automation and Orchestration of operating systems, optimization and troubleshooting of the existing Private Cloud environment. Development, debugging and improvement of new or existing vRO workflows and vRA forms
- Software development of the Client Private Cloud. Including break/fix of code and new features to be released as part of ongoing product development
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and configuration of the client Private Cloud code base under change control, including elements of NSX code development (Network) and ESX Hypervisor work
- Workflow development (VMware vRealize Suite) (New, maintenance, retirement etc) including UI/UX configuration - in line with BA guidance and constraints
- Advise build, optimisation and maintenance of Vblock/HCI infrastructure layer including network, storage and replication
- Implement Agile Methodologies for Software Development
- A nalyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate a process or improve an existing application
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 9+ years of experience in Javascript and VMware technologies
- Expertise in VMware vRealize suite (vRA, vRO, vROps) and JavaScript
- Development knowledge using the REST API, SOAP API
- In-depth understanding in Firewall, Switch and Loadbalancer concepts including VMware NSX and software defined datacenters, good understanding of internet facing protocols and technologies (DNS, HTTP, SQL, LDAP, SMTP, IP, RDP, SSH, )
- Working knowledge with orchestration/automation tools like Puppet, Provisioning tools (Kickstart, Templates) and Scripting languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell)
- Proficient in Linux and/or Windows Server, including HA setups
- Solid understanding of VMware vSphere 5/6 environments
- Proven experience with VCE Vblock/HCI related Hardware and Software components including storage replication techniques
- Ability to work in a distributed team throughout the world
- Experience with ITIL Service Management technologies including SmartCloud, Control Desk, ServiceNow, and Remedy
- You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
