Your Role and Responsibilities
As Database Administrator, you are responsible for installation, configuration & managing database server and applying security patches & other Patches for upgrading versions of oracle database on different platforms.
Responsibilities:- Day to day Database administration and Production Support
- Install and implement DB2, DB2 tools, Patches as required
- Manage incidents at Customer account
- DB2 database Administration/Support
- Perform Storage Space management
- Database Security Administration
- Maintain Configuration details
- Execute configuration changes to DB2
- Review and maintain system configuration documentation
- Troubleshooting of DB2 related problem
- Proactive system monitoring and support
- Level 2 and Level 3 Ticket resolution
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Industry
- Experience in installation, configuration, upgradation and DB2 databse administration, System Programming and problem-solving skills
- Ability to install, configure on ORACLE DBA Clustering and fix support packs on all OS platforms
- Demonstrated ability to implement High Availability, Workload Management and Fail Over, Disaster recovery
- Expertise in debugging and analytical skills with solid grasp of system development methodologies, techniques and tool
- Experience in monitoring and reporting tools
