Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking highly motivated engineers with a BS,MS degree in ECE/CS to be part of Standard Cell Library Characterization team. Join a great team of engineering professionals who are involved in design, development, validation and delivery of standard cell libraries for all leading technologies used to design IBM microprocessors.
In this role, you are expected to
1) Understand combinatorial, sequential circuit designs
2) Develop characterization rules for timing
3) Have good debugging skills
4) Build knowledge of layout design
5) Have strong interpersonal skills needed to coordinate deliverables and requirements from several areas within and outside of the organization.
There are many opportunities to gain and utilize a deep understanding of future issues and provide input towards decisions affecting system development, logical and physical design
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
1. Knowledge of circuits, Spice simulators, CMOS devices with 3+ years of experience
2. Good scripting skills – Perl / Python/Shell
3. Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment are a must
4. Good communication skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Cadence, VLSI knowledge, VHDL/Verilog, computer architecture, Machine Learning/AI
