Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Installation & Maintenance
-
Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures according to job specifications and local electrical codes.

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems including motors, panels, switches, relays, and power distribution equipment.

Ensure proper grounding and insulation of all wiring and circuits.
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs
-
Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems using appropriate testing devices and tools.

Repair or replace faulty components such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, motors, relays, and transformers.

Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to restore operations.
3. System Testing & Safety Checks
-
Conduct regular testing of electrical systems to ensure they function properly and meet safety standards.

Inspect systems for potential safety hazards or code violations.
-
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs and complete safety checklists.
4. Compliance & Documentation
-
Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes (such as IEC, IS standards) and internal policies.

Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
-
Maintain records of inspections, test results, parts replaced, and work performed.
5. Support & Coordination
-
Work closely with mechanical, instrumentation, and facility teams during new equipment installation or shutdowns.

Assist in energy-saving initiatives and system upgrades.
-
Coordinate with vendors and external contractors for specialized tasks.
