Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation:
-
Operate hydro jetting machines (diesel or electric) to clean blockages in pipelines, sewage systems, grease traps, and industrial tanks.

Adjust pressure and nozzle settings according to the job requirement and type of obstruction.
-
Inspect and test machine components before and after use to ensure proper function.
-
Handle different types of jetting nozzles (rotating, sewer, root cutter, etc.) based on site conditions.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
-
Perform routine maintenance of jetter machines including checking hoses, pumps, filters, water tanks, and nozzles.
-
Clean equipment thoroughly after each use and store it properly to prevent wear and corrosion.

Identify and report any technical faults or equipment breakdowns to supervisors.
-
Replace worn-out or damaged machine parts under the guidance of the maintenance team.
3. Site Execution:
-
Set up the work area, including placement of hoses, barricades, and safety signage.
-
Coordinate with site personnel and follow instructions regarding which pipelines or surfaces need jetting.
-
Ensure that the water source is connected and pressure levels are adjusted correctly.

Remove debris or blockages after jetting using proper tools or vacuum systems if required.
4. Safety and Compliance:
-
Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE (helmet, gloves, safety glasses, gumboots, etc.).

Ensure compliance with local environmental and workplace regulations during operations.

Avoid water wastage and prevent overspray or environmental contamination.
-
Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings as required.
5. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain daily reports of tasks completed, equipment status, and any issues encountered.

Record the type of blockage, length of pipeline cleaned, water pressure used, and machine operating hours.
-
Submit service completion reports to the supervisor or client as required.
-
Keep a logbook for preventive maintenance and service schedules.
