Job Description
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB/DST funded
research project entitled “Synthesis of pi-conjugated chromophores and material science
related applications" EMR/2017/000520, under the supervision of Dr. Kamaljit
Singh, Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
Essential and Desirable Qualifications: Master’s degree (with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade) in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a UGC recognized University.
Good synthetic skills. Candidates with familiarity with organic synthesis will be preferred.Understanding of organic material characterisation techniques is desirable. Candidates with CSIR/UGC-NET/GATE shall be preferred and are encouraged to apply.
Fellowship: As per DST norms, fellowship is Rs.31,000/- p.m. plus HRA as permissible for first two years. There will be enhanced fellowship in the third year as Rs.35,000/- p.m. plus HRA, subject to performance/evaluation.
