For the post of Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary : Negotiable
Services - Automation , Industry 4.0 , Project Management , Designing in Auto CAD and Solid Work Software , CE and UL Certification.
Location - Project Based (India and Abroad)
Required - Minimum 1 year Experience in Mechanical Design Engineer or Automation Field .
Note :- Immediate joiners are given more preference.

Key Responsibilities
1. Product & Component Design
-
Design mechanical systems, components, and products according to customer specifications or internal requirements.

Prepare 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar tools.

Create detailed assembly drawings, exploded views, and bill of materials (BOM) for production use.
-
Modify existing designs to improve performance, cost, manufacturability, or durability.
2. Concept Development & Prototyping
-
Develop design concepts based on functionality, cost, and safety.

Collaborate with the product team to convert ideas into working prototypes.

Participate in brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and innovation workshops.
-
Assist in selecting materials, fasteners, and surface finishes suitable for the design.
3. Engineering Calculations & Analysis
-
Perform basic engineering calculations (stress, strain, tolerances, fits, thermal analysis).

Use FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software (e.g., ANSYS) to evaluate strength, fatigue, and vibration characteristics of components when required.

Optimize designs for weight, strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
4. Manufacturing & Production Support
-
Coordinate with the production and fabrication teams to ensure design intent is preserved during manufacturing.

Resolve design-related issues during prototyping or mass production.

Suggest and implement design modifications for better manufacturability (DFM – Design for Manufacturing).
5. Documentation & Quality Control
-
Maintain and update engineering documentation, including drawing revisions, part numbers, and design versions.

Create design checklists, test reports, and validation protocols.

Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical design standards and industry codes (e.g., ISO, ASME, BIS).
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, procurement, and QA/QC teams.

Participate in project planning meetings and status updates.
-
Provide design inputs during supplier/vendor discussions when required.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:
-
Proficient in 3D CAD software: SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent

Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

Familiarity with materials (metals, plastics, composites) and mechanical systems (gears, shafts, bearings, etc.)

Experience in creating BOMs, technical drawings, and assembly instructions
-
Knowledge of FEA tools and basic simulation principles is an advantage
Analytical & Engineering Skills:

Strong aptitude for mechanical design principles and engineering mechanics

Ability to interpret and apply mechanical design standards and safety codes

Logical thinking and structured approach to solving design-related problems
Soft Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Good time management and ability to handle multiple design projects simultaneously

Team player with collaborative attitude and high attention to detail

Open to learning and adapting to new tools and processes
