Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications :-

Bachelor's /Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Ability to read and understand designs and schematics

Must have worked on installation and commissioning of conveyors & palletizers

Responsibilities :-

Work cross-functionally with different teams and organizations.

Analyzes existing development procedures and suggests improvements.

Implements or tests design solutions.

Evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.

Develops mechanical components.

Tests mechanical components.

Identifies and selects components, materials, parts and semi-products appropriate for mechanical system design.

Creates mechanical models and tolerance analyses to simulate mechanical design concepts.

Calculates and creates final layout including documentation and specification for parts, assemblies, or finished products.

Maintains technical product files.

Create 2D drawings of components

Hands on Experience in creating 3D models in CREO/ AutoCAD/ Solid works

Hands on experience in conversion of drawings from 2D to 3D format

Should able to download & upload the drawings in SAP.

Basic Knowledge of Electrical & control, switchgear Products

Product catalog knowledge, part verification

Identification of part mounting, layout, Structures, Sheet metal back panel mounting

Should able to Identify drawing formats, .step files

Upgrades the design of existing devices by adding mechanical elements.

Participate in HAZOP meeting with the client and representatives of other engineering disciplines.

Interact with HSE, Quality Assurance for quality issues; strictly ensure compliance with Company’s ISO Quality procedures.

Coordinate Internal and Client audit requests; facilitate audit procedures of engineering systems within the department.

Interface and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction sites and commissioning engineers, provide start-up assistance as required.

Work on Development Standards/Data Sheets/Other Tools to improve productivity.

Analyzes localization requirements and designs/adapts products and solutions accordingly.

Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and correct the same.

Perform departmental duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.

Supervise and develop Graduate Engineers and other engineers as assigned by Department.
