Technical Associate recruitment in Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy on contractual basis
Essential Qualification: M.Tech/M.Sc./B.Tech./M.A.(Geography)/MCA from recognized University/ Institute
Desirable Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Remote Sensing and GIS. Preference will be given to UGC/CSIR/ NET qualified candidates.

Experience: At least two years of experience of working in the projects etc.involving applications of Remote Sensing and GIS with good command on Digital Image Processing and GIS software, preferably in
ERDAS Imagine and Arc GIS
Emoluments: Rs 25,000 (fixed) + HRA (Rs 3,000)
No.of Post: 1
Age: Shall not be more than 35 years as on date of advertisement.
Selection process: Screening of the candidates will be done based on the applications received. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Although shortlisted candidates may also be informed by email & SMS, non-receival of intimation by these means can not be disputed in any form. So, candidates are advised to check the website. There will be a test, which may include written test and hands-on test, for the shortlisted candidates. This will be followed by an interview. Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their qualification, experience and their performance in the test and the interview. Decision of the Director, IGNFA shall be final.

Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) was constituted in the year 1987 by renaming the erstwhile Indian Forest College, which was originally established in 1938 for training senior forest officers. It is situated in the New Forest campus of Forest Research Institute (FRI) on Chakrata Road (NH-72),five kilometers from Dehradun town. IGNFA is currently functioning as a Staff College for the officers of the Indian Forest Service (IFS).
