NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety There is an estimated 500-2000 nonfatal injury for every fatal injury, many of which result in reduced profitability, lost earnings, permanent disability and poverty. The annual worldwide cost of occupational injury and illness is estimated by the ILO to be $1200 billion annually or 4% of global Gross Domestic Product (GDP). A key cause of many of these incidents is that the workers involved do not have the competence to perform their tasks. As a rule, it is widely accepted that if an employer has NEBOSH qualified staff then they are an employer who is committed to health and safety. The range of NEBOSH qualifications provides an assurance of safety for all people in a workplace, which can help employers achieve recognised standards, become an in-demand workplace and even impress clients and win new business.IGC 1 :- Management of International health and safety IGC 2:- Controlling workplace hazards IGC 3:- Health and safety practical IGC 1 and IGC 2 are theory papers and written examination which will be held at Abad Plaza in Cochin under surveillance of British council officials. IGC 3 is a practical application and a project has to be made and this report needs to be sent to NEBOSH in U.K. within 7 days after examination.
