Introduction to Web Programming Course Students in this class learn the basics of Web programming, such as Web design syntax and the common data types used in all Web programming languages. The basics of PHP are often introduced along with other programming languages. The coursework often requires students to write basic code and use it to create a simple webpage or Web application that is functional and professional. They learn to integrate other elements into the site, such as content management systems. Introduction to PHP Course This class requires students to have knowledge of HTML. Students are introduced to the terminology and programming concepts of Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and how it's used to create websites for large amounts of data, such as online shopping sites. The skills taught in this class include embedding PHP code, writing text files and developing basic programming techniques used in Web applications. Students may be required to create simple websites or Web applications using PHP. PHP Programming Course Students in this class build on the skills acquired in HTML, Web programming, and introductory PHP courses. Most PHP programming courses require students to create images and use color to design their own interactive site using standard and custom PHP programming codes. They learn how to test the functionality of the site, check for problems and debug any issues. Students also learn how to improve site accessibility and manage the flow of information to keep the site from crashing. This course also includes information about password-protecting sites so only authorized users can access them.
